All our young people are individuals with a unique starting point in their learning, with their own dreams and aspirations. None of them are treated in the same way. We listen and observe and then we start working with that young person at whatever point they happen to be. Our aim is to achieve progression, however small and however difficult it might be to measure.
Are we successful? We have an attendance rate of over 90%. Our young people trust us and talk to us. They bring us their problems and fears. We liaise with parents, youth offending teams and social workers. We support them through job applications and college interviews. No one leaves us NEET. All leave us healthier, fitter, with enhanced social and employability skills, happier and more ready to cope with life. We consider paper qualifications the least important element of what we provide, yet most leave us with at least some entry level - level 1 qualifications.
